Are you ready for Roy Jones Jr. versus Bernard Hopkins III? Russian Boxing Federation exec Umar Kremlev is trying to set up the rematch between the quinquagenarians via Instagram (where else). Kremlev posted an IG message from B-Hop (55-8-2) where the 54-year-old calls out his former nemesis to “break the tie” (they split the first two bouts), saying they can do it in “Russia or China” (hmmm).
The Russian powerbroker’s follow-up post featured a retort from the 50-year-old Jones Jr. (66-9), who seems up to the challenge saying he could it “anytime, anywhere, any day.”
Whether the two living legends can do it is not the question as both have fought way past their prime, but the real question is if we want to see it. Kremlev is probably asking us the same question by seeing if these social media posts go viral, driving enough traffic to warrant staging the fight. Get your popcorn ready… or in this case Dulcolax.
