A bit of sad news this morning. Multiple news outlets are reporting that Errol Spence Jr has been involved in a car crash in Dallas, Texas that has left the welterweight champ in serious condition, although he is expected to survive.
Spence has been on top of the world since defeating “Showtime” Shawn Porter on Sept. 28th in a “fight of the year” contender. That all changed on Thursday morning. According to Dallas Police (via TMZ), the 29-year-old was driving “around 3 AM at a high rate of speed when the car went over the center median and flipped at least 5 times.”
Spence is known to be a big fan of fast, exotic cars and appears to be posing with the sports vehicle involved in the crash in the Instagram post below.
While all the talk has been about who Spence should and would fight next, the most important thing now is his health.
