George Kambosos and Devin Haney will be battling it out in Kambosos’ native Australia this weekend at Marvel Stadium. Haney holds the WBC title while Kambosos holds the WBO, WBA, and IBF titles.
There is a lot of talent at the 135 division in which Ryan Garcia, Vasyl Lomachenko, and Gervonta Davis just to name a few. Davis, who has just freshly beat Rolando Romero, would make an excellent opponent for either Devin Haney or George Kambosos, depending on who wins this weekend.
Both Kambosos and Haney are in for a tough fight this weekend, both will be tested like never before and will have to make big moves, quick adjustments, and keep their composure in order to maximize their potential against one another.
Devin Haney enjoys an upper hand in speed and precision with his punches. However, Kambosos carries out lethal body shots that if Haney were to sustain, could take out his legs. It’s likely that Kambosos will make it part of his game plan to prioritize going to the body given how successful it has been for him in the past.
Out of the two, Kambosos would have the best chance to hurt Haney, but Haney would most likely be able to outbox Kambosos with his boxing IQ.
