Fantasy Football | Boxers Who Could Star in the NFL

0

Let’s play another kind of fantasy football. What if our favorite boxers played on Sundays? If you think about it, the cleats do fit. Both sports are built around technical planning, flawless execution, and trying to knock the snot out of each other.

Here’s who we drafted for Boxing Empire’ Fantasy Football Team.

Manny Pacquiao

Position: Safety

Scouting Report: A human firecracker, the all-time boxing great is shifty with his hands and feet, plays off instinct, and can explode upon impact.

NFL player comp: Earl Thomas (Baltimore Ravens)

Vasily Lomachenko

Position: Wide Receiver

Scouting Report: A legendary workout warrior, who excels with superior technique and fancy footwork that generate bursts of speed and power.

NFL player comp: Julian Edelman (New England Patriots)

Tyson Fury

Position: Tight End

Scouting Report: A big personality with an even bigger wingspan, Fury basks in the bright lights and is blessed with superhero size and mobility.

NFL player comp: Rob Gronkowski (retired)

Deontay Wilder

Position: Defensive End

Scouting Report: The Alabama-native is a physical freak (6’7, 215) who uses incredible power to knock his opponents off their feet.

NFL player comp: Myles Garret (Cleveland Browns)

Gennady Golovkin

Position: Quarterback

Scouting Report: “Triple G” is a skilled craftsman who can still beat anyone with decisive strikes and pinpoint accuracy on any given Saturday despite being in the fourth quarter of a Hall-of-Fame career.

NFL player comp: Drew Brees (New Orleans Saints)

Andy Ruiz

Position: Offensive Lineman

Scouting Report: Don’t let his dad bod fool you. Short and stout, he does his damage up-close with hand-to-hand combat in the trenches.
